FriesenPress Celebrates 10,000 Titles!

In late June 2024, just a few weeks before our 15th anniversary, Saving Lives Without Destroying Yours hit the FriesenPress Bookstore. A major milestone for its authors, Dr. Maryna Mammoliti and Adam Ly, this book was an important one for all of us at FriesenPress as well.

In addition to being a useful and necessary self-help book for physicians and healthcare professionals, Saving Lives brought our collective publishing total up to 10,000 titles.

10,000!

Each and every book we help authors publish is special, but—as the representation of the 9,999 titles that came before it—Saving Lives takes on an extra significance. We pride ourselves for the hands-on approach and care our team brings to every project we’ve worked on since 2009. It only seemed fitting we took that same approach to celebrating 10,000 titles published.

This summer, our employee-owners across Canada gathered at in-person events in Winnipeg, Calgary, and Victoria to create the ultimate signed author copy of Saving Lives. And, thanks to some bookmaking magic at Friesens, staff residing outside these cities had their digital signatures seamlessly included. From our consultants and promotions specialists to the Friesens board, the signature of every member of our team is in these books!

We signed three copies in total. Two of those books are now in the authors’ hands; the third and final copy will reside at our company headquarters in Altona, Manitoba. There, it will be displayed in our reception area as a tribute to 15 years of storytelling.

To all of the brilliant authors who have helped us get to this moment: thank you. There are no words that can capture what it means to have earned and sustained your trust for the past 15 years and 10,000 titles (and counting).

We are lucky, grateful, and honoured to help authors like Maryna and Adam share their best stories with the world. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for FriesenPress authors’ next 10,000 books!
